Teaching Philosophy

History and social sciences classrooms are the perfect location for students to explore other cultures, world views, and the various aspects of being a respectable citizen of the world. Promoting and fostering healthy relationships within the classroom is crucial to creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all my students and to better their relationships for their futures outside of the classroom.  The exploration of other cultures, world views, and beliefs ties in with respect, tolerance, and acceptance of people from all over the world. To emphasize the importance of these actions, lessons should be comprised of various methods of teaching at all levels of learning. Varying teaching methods can make the difference in the success of students both inside and outside of the classroom.
